Christopher Emmanuel "Chris" Paul (born May 6, 1985) is the American high quality basketball player for the Los Angeles Clippers on the National Basketball Association (NBA). Standing at 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) and weighing 175 lb (79 kg), he has started exclusively at the position of point guard. Paul has received the NBA Rookie of the Year Award, an Olympic gold medal, and brought the NBA in assists 3 times and steals six times. He's already been elected to seven NBA All-Star teams, six All-NBA teams, and 6 All-Defensive clubs.
Paul was a McDonald's All-American in high school. He attended Wake Forest University for just two years of university basketball where he helped the Demon Deacons accomplish their 1st truly number one ranking. He has been picked fourth all round on the 2005 NBA draft with the New Orleans Hornets and traded to the Clippers in 2011.
In December 8, 2011, the Hornets agreed to a three-team trade transferring Paul on the Los Angeles Lakers. The NBA, which owned the team at the time, nullified the offer, together with commissioner David Stern claiming New Orleans are the best off holding Paul.The teams taking part in the trade tried out to lobby the league to reverse its ruling and reconstruct the offer does not help.On December 12, the Hornets approved a trade sending Paul on the Los Angeles Clippers, but the deal broke down after the NBA added further demands for the original conditions. Two days further, the teams at long last formed the deal, sending Paul and 2 future second stage draft picks for the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu, and also Minnesota Timberwolves' unprotected first round pick within the 2012 draft. Upon the deal's completion, Paul announced that he could choose into the final year for his contract and stay for La for at least 2 more seasons.
